Add to Google CalendarOn November 1, Nonprofit Builder USA launches, bringing the model we've used with 1,300+ nonprofits worldwide to the US: expert consulting, coaching and training for nonprofits, paid for by their foundations.
To mark the launch, we wanted to start with something useful for the sector. We chose earned revenue because it's on the minds of so many US nonprofits right now, and we hope you'll find the session relevant to where your organization is today.

Far fewer organizations have done the work to know whether they can carry it. A social enterprise needs something people will pay for, a program that can bear a price without losing its purpose, and staff with the time and skills to run a small business next to the mission.
In this session, Margaret Brawley of Lotus Collective shows how to test that honestly, using what your organization already has: its assets, its programs and its people. You'll leave knowing whether an earned revenue idea is worth a closer look now, worth parking for later, or better dropped.
Bring your questions. There's time for Q&A, and you can send us your concerns in advance (confidentially) so the session is attuned to what you're dealing with.
It's free and open to all. If earned revenue is on your mind, you're welcome.
Margaret has spent 25 years running nonprofits and global health organizations, leading teams in more than 10 countries and living in East Africa for 12 of those years.
Today she steps in as a fractional head of operations and strategic advisor for nonprofits going through change or growth. Her work covers executive management, strategic planning, partnerships and fundraising, and she's known for building teams that can carry on without her once the engagement ends. She's based in Denver.
Lotus Collective is a consulting firm with offices in Washington, DC and Denver.
